Protect your family from dangerous products.

THE PROBLEM

Dangerous products are everywhere. Just look at the headlines...

- “Deadly Recalled Products Still Lurk in Child-Care Centers” (L.A. Times)
- “Dogs are Sick, Dying After Eating Recalled Food” (NBC)
- “More Infant Sleep Products Linked to Deaths” (Consumer Reports)

Even when a product is recalled, many people never hear about it. It remains in homes, schools, or daycare centers, and the results can be tragic. Children, pets, and others are constantly at risk.

Every year, dangerous products are responsible for:
- 60,000+ Infant and toddler emergency room visits
- 100,000+ Hospitalizations for food-borne illnesses
- 200,000+ Injuries caused by toys

THE SOLUTION: WHYSTLE

Whystle lets you know what’s dangerous and what’s safe. Get personalized product safety alerts, search the history of a brand or product type, and see recent news.

Whystle analyzes information across a wide range of sources, including the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control, and more. Sometimes, companies issue sneaky press releases, hoping to satisfy their public disclosure obligations without anybody really noticing — Whystle finds those, too.

Based on your profile (for example: pregnancy, children, pets, allergies), we send you timely alerts that are relevant to you and those under your care.

Recent alerts have covered choking hazards in infant toys, salmonella in dog treats, and undeclared nuts in ice cream, to name a few.

Don’t leave it to chance that you’ll hear about something important — Whystle makes sure of it.

With Whystle as your eyes and ears, you can rest easy. Be the first to know, and spread awareness to family and friends who might be affected.

ABOUT

Whystle was founded by Lauren Bell, a Harvard Law School-educated former federal prosecutor and mother of four. At the U.S. Department of Justice, Lauren prosecuted companies for unsafe products. She saw firsthand the importance of staying up-to-date on product safety information for her children. She founded Whystle so that she could use her expertise to help others keep their families safe too.
